Mike Harris is an Architectural Engineer. His passion for the industry began in his home town of Chicago, and continued after he graduated from high school in Kansas City.

 

Upon graduation - Mike was hired as a Draftsmen for Black & Veatch Consulting Engineers in Kansas City, MO.

 

Eventually, he moved to St. Louis where he progressed in computer CAD operations working with various firms, such as HBE Corporation and Clark-Richardson & Biskup.

Since then, Mike has catapulted his career with a thriving Consulting Engineering Group [Ross & Baruzzini] in Webster Groves, MO. He was a
Construction Administrator for one of the largest university expansion
projects in St. Louis...The Washington University School of
Medicine’s Bio-Med Center.

By night, Mike is a naturally gifted Engineer with musical talents. He gained his interest in music from his father, Wallace Harris of the Chicago Big Bands. His father worked with Nat King Cole, among other legends.

His passion for studio engineering, has afforded him the opportunity to build his own in-home recording studio @ I.H. Productions where he holds the title of Executive Producer/Engineer, Mastering Tech, and Writer on his wife, Peggy Neely-Harris' "FORWARD" cd which was published by Tate Music Group in Oklahoma City in 2014.

 

Mike has recorded for SIUE Music Dean-Prince Wells, and radio celebrities
like Bernie Hayes. He's also recorded a theme song for the Convention & Visitor’s Center, worked on countless commercial spots, and worked with an array of Artists in genres such as Country Western, Christian, R&B, Rock/Heavy-metal, Alternative and Jazz.

 

He is currently teaching recording techniques on-location, or on business-sites as a Recording Technician, and a Sound Engineer.
